At VitaLyme, we’re dedicated to helping to educate and treat people when it comes to Lyme disease and the symptoms you may see from this illness. While our focus is on people, pet’s are just as important to consider. It might not be a well known fact that your animals can be infected with Lyme disease just the same as you can. It’s true! The very best form of keeping Lyme out of your life is to prevent it. Don’t forget the famous adage “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
With that said, finding ticks on your pets are just as common, if not more common, than finding them on your person. The last thing you want is to introduce Lyme disease into your home through your pets. Below is an infographic that was researched, verified, and documented by Carrington College. We thought it would be good to add to our growing library about tick bites and Lyme disease treatment. Additionally, we have some more information about preventing Lyme disease by preventing tick bites on an earlier written blog post.
